What does preparing for college look like before high school graduation? Today, we got to see it at John F. Kennedy.

We visited AP U.S. History, AP Government, AP Seminar, Algebra I Honors, and English II Honors—where our scholars were reading closely, working through challenging problems, and building their ideas.

We saw bright, brilliant students putting in the work, with educators right beside them to challenge, guide, and encourage them.

At KIPP New Orleans Schools, our goal is for students to be college-ready by the end of tenth grade.

We also toured the new Bard Early College space at JFK, which connects students with opportunities to take tuition-free college courses while still in high school.

Today was a chance to see the daily learning behind that pathway—and the students whose futures make this work so important.
