Dear KNOS Families,

As the 2023-2024 school year comes to a close, we are filled with pride and gratitude for the remarkable achievements of our school community. This year has showcased the resilience, dedication, and spirit of our students, staff, and families.

Academic Excellence and Unforgettable Experiences

Our students have achieved remarkable academic success this year, thanks to their dedication and the support of our exceptional teachers. We are proud of the strides that were made in improving our attendance rate, which reflects the efforts of our entire school community. Our scholars have enjoyed memorable experiences, such as the Regional Symphonic Choir Concert, Regional Art Showcase, and educational trips to Houston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, and more. They are also looking forward to upcoming international trips, including Tokyo and Costa Rica, that will further broaden their horizons.

Seniors Secure Unprecedented Scholarships

With an astounding $48 million in scholarships, our graduating seniors have once again raised the bar. This achievement is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and the unique opportunities provided by our high schools, including Bard Early College, personalized college counseling, and an extensive network of college partnerships and career pathways. We are confident that our graduates are well-prepared for the challenges of higher education and beyond.

Looking Ahead to the 2024-2025 School Year

We want to share some important updates for the 2024-2025 school year. After considering feedback from our school community, we have made adjustments to our daily schedule. Starting next year, we will implement a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, with dismissal for PK-8 students at 3:45 pm each day and high school students at 2:50 pm. The arrival time will be 8:15 am for PK-8 and 7:20 am for high school students.. This change will provide a more stable routine for our students and families.

Clear Backpack Requirement

To enhance safety and security measures on our campuses, all students will be required to use clear backpacks starting in the 2024-2025 school year. This policy will help us maintain a safe learning environment for our scholars and staff.

2024-2025 School Calendar and Re-Registration

We are excited to share the 2024-2025 school calendar, designed to optimize learning opportunities for our students while providing time for rest, reflection, and family engagement. Click Here for your reference. 

If you have not yet re-registered for the 2024-2025 school year, please reach out to your school, and a representative will guide you through the process. Re-registering your student before Open Enrollment begins on June 5 is crucial to secure your seat.

Open Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is set to begin on June 4 for K-12 and is currently open for PreK.

Join us Saturday, July 13th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans (601 Loyola Avenue) for the fifth annual Starbucks All-In NOLA  Back to School Giveaway Event. Your KIPPster will receive school supplies and information needed to ensure they are ready to kick off the 2024-2025 school year right.
